Now LaCrosse Technology wants me to pay shipping to ship their defective product back to them. I purchased this indoor meter since I own 2 other weather meter products made by LaCrosse Technology and have been very happy with them for 5 years with no problems. This is unacceptable. This new one worked for 2 weeks and then displayed only dashes. I followed all of tech supports directions and the unit still work not work. The product is not even a month old. The manufacturer (LaCrosse Technology) should pick up the tab for shipping since this product basically failed after 2 weeks of use.
That was indication that it was working. I have had it for about a year and I'm pleased.

I needed it for my baby room especially during winter. Sometimes products have many 'extras' and the basic functionality does not work accurately.
Not the case here. I tested it a few weeks ago when I used the de-humidification function on my A/C and I notices that the hygrometer indicated the RH falling.
I'm going to buy the La Crosse Technology WS-9611U-IT-CBP Wireless Sun/Moon Weather Station with 15 Advanced Forecast Icons and will let you know in a few weeks' time my experiences since I have read that the sensor for that product fails.

At times the temp. I have had this item since several years and love it.It is simple to use. I observed that when the humidity is showing 60. I like that.
If the humidityis higher than 70, I turn on the A/C until the hygrometer shows a 6 to 10 point drop. I decided to buy two more today. I will keep one in different locations in the house and one between the window and screenfor the outside temperature and humidity. I remember buying this through Amazon.com because of the customer reviews. I found that the best price and shipping costs on this item is through Amazon.com. The hygrometer on the machine is somewhat off by 10 points.
it is really 70. In short the device reads the humidity low.
Earlier today, I could not find it listed so I looked up the manufacture and his price was higher and shipping was over11 dollars. There is a upright stand bracket for placing on a table surface, or you can use the slot on the back to hang it on the wall on a nail.
If the humidity is low, my family and I like a temp. is cooler outside than inside and I can open a window and the wind blows through and cools down the house from 86 to 76 in a few hours.
If it is hot and humid outside, no sense in not turning on the central air conditioning. in the low 80's.
The Weather Channel WS-9410TWC is a very nice looking piece of junk. It is very inaccurate for both temperature and humidity, but it looks nice.
